Timing :- 10:30-12.30 ( 2hrs )
Distance:- bhayander - Churchgate
BEHIND THE SCENE( BTS)
So, the story starts from the night before the court visit...I told my friend that I was going to visit the high court tomorrow.
To which he said it's essential to wear a black coat if you wish to hear the ongoing hearings of the court
And yes, I'm a 3rd-year law student, and I didn't have a black coat until now. It was almost that I had made a decision to quit going to court
But the inner voice told me, Nidhi, you have always been a person who would try doing things even if you didn't have the right tools.
Kalakoat your project started when you had nothing ...not even a smartphone so why wait for a coat
And yes, on day 1 of the court visit, courtroom no. 2, I was allowed to sit !!
Phew moment of great happiness 😊
3 major observations
I. There are 3 types of advocate
1. Rich and highly knowledgeable
2. Not rich but highly knowledgeable
3. The clueless morons 🙄
II. GAME OF HIERARCHIES AND DELEGATION
There are 3 players in the game of court
• The senior Advocate( who does not want to do any clerical work).
• Junior Advocate ( recently graduated , young and handling the work)
•Intern ( The clueless buddy)
The Adv whether rich or not soo rich
wishes to handle only the arena of dealing with people and arguing matters
If the firm is a well flourished one the senior Advocate has a junior Advocate and intern to assist him ( the rich category of Advocates)
If the firm is small size then he only has an intern to train and teach
so that he/ she could assist him.
III:- THE IPHON CULT
It is not wrong to say that law professionals are obsessed with Apple;
iPads in specific
There is no philosophy to this .....
• maybe a better device that serves their profession but also
• blunt trend of status symbol.
2 MAJOR TAKEAWAYS
1. The concept of family hierarchies best suits this profession ....
Because it's still dilemmatic whether
lawyers have turned into better entrepreneurs
to flourish their practice,
have better teams
pay them well.
2. You need to constantly learn to interpret and present in the best ways possible
CONCLUSION
The older generation of Advocates has not learnt to create job opportunities in this field, and ironically, it has become very easy to be a law graduate...
There could be a possibility that soon lawyers will be as unemployed as engineers in our country.
